Found an beautiful blue paint whilst searching for materials in my studio! Decided to do a series of blue face characters to limit the palette. I white gessoed over some collage works I had experimented with old stamps that I bought from Sydney's Reverse Garbage. The stamps give the paper a patchwork feeling and also the white gesso was thin enough to show some of the previous painting which I liked a history of the work continuing on. Some of the characters have a touch of gold watercolour in them, to make them like old icons.
